ATHENS, Ohio (March 15, 2004) -- "Mountain Stage" host and artistic director, Larry Groce, will be a guest on the popular WOUB-AM program Live from Studio B this Friday, March 19, at 12:30 p.m. The program will air on WOUB-AM 1340 and will feature guests Brian Blauser, official photographer for "Mountain Stage" and owner of B&B Studios in Athens; Andy Ridenour, "Mountain Stage" executive producer; and Mark Hellenberg, public radio producer and recent "Mountain Stage" guest will host.
A book signing event will later be held at Little Professor Book Center, 65 South Court Street, Athens, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will feature the "20 Years of Mountain Stage: Live performance radio from the Mountain State of West Virginia" book, which will be available for purchase and autographs. Light refreshments will be served.
Following the book signing event, a community reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lamborn's Studio and Custom Framing, 19 West State Street, Athens, featuring photographic works by Blauser. "Mountain Stage" host and Artistic Director Larry Groce, and Michael Lipton, Mountain Stage house band, will perform live music during the reception. Light refreshments will be served. All events are free and open to the public.
"Mountain Stage" is a two-hour radio show recorded before a live audience in Charleston, W.Va. Now in its 20th year, the show has established a long tradition of featuring national and international acts in almost every style of music.
