Ohio College and University Presidents' Conference to be streamed online
More than 52 university presidents will meet and discuss developing topics

On Tuesday Sen. Sherrod Brown will host the Ohio College and University Presidents' Conference in Washington, D.C. The event will be streamed live from the U.S. Capitol's Visitor's Center.
President Roderick J. McDavis will one of the more than 52 university and college president present for the all-day discussion and meetings.
Speakers invited by Brown include Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Sen. Tom Harkin, the Chairman of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, and Sen. Mike Enzi, ranking member of the HELP Committee. Martha Kanter, undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Education and Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Eric Fingerhut will also address the group
The conference will focus on educational priorities, strategies to forge statewide partnerships, and initiatives to maximize federal investments. Brown, McDavis and the other participants will review best practices for matching workforce development education with the needs of potential employers and emerging industries.
