Crime alert issued for sexual imposition incident near campus

The Athens City Police Department issued a crime alert after a woman reported that at approximately 3 a.m. Saturday, April 3, she was a victim of sexual imposition near campus.

The victim stated that while she was walking on North McKinley Street near Riverpark Towers, a man put his arm around her and touched her breasts before fleeing the scene. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a Latino male between 22 and 28 years old, between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, and between 120 and 140 pounds. The victim said the suspect was wearing a tan collared shirt and blue jeans.
