'Newswatch' feature to focus on Perry County economic development

ATHENS, Ohio (Feb. 12, 2004) -- "Newswatch," WOUB-TV's evening news program, will feature an economic development segment, airing Monday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. The featured segment will focus on Perry County. Guest Thad Cooperrider, a Perry County Commissioner, will visit the WOUB-TV news studio to discuss the latest in new business developments.

"Newswatch," a half-hour news program airing on WOUB-TV weeknights at 6:30 p.m., provides community members with a local news source and provides regional residents with local news, sports and weather.

The Ohio University Telecommunications Center, a unit of the College of Communication, operates two television stations: WOUB-TV/Channel 20 in Athens and WOUC-TV/Channel 44 in Cambridge and one cable channel: WOUB II.
