Asma Mahmoud Mohamed Taha knows firsthand of the struggles and resistance faced by proponents of progressive Islam.

The daughter of the late Sudanese teacher and Islamic reformer Mahmoud Mohamed Taha, she will share her story Saturday at Ohio University's conference on progressive Islam.
