OUPD issues alert

The Ohio University Police Department said Thursday that a convicted sex offender, who has been banned from campus, recently has been seen on the Athens campus.

The department distributed fliers that describe the man as 5 feet 9 inches tall with brown hair and eyes, a medium build and multiple tattoos on his arms. He has recently been seen at several locations on campus, including Glidden Hall, Alden Library and the Radio/TV building.

OUPD is asking anyone who sees him to call the department at 740-593-1911, and not approach him.
