Oct. 9, 2007
Individuals planning to attend Homecoming festivities Oct. 12-14 should be aware of the following parking restrictions during this weekend:
All dark green and purple lots will open at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, to those without permits. All vehicles must be parked in a valid, legal space. However, the following lots do have restrictions and should be avoided:
- Lots 128 and 129 (the outer ring of the Convocation Center), 132 and 133 (either side of Peden Stadium), and 134 (next to Walter Hall) will be used for game-day parking on Saturday, Oct. 13, and must be cleared by 7 a.m. that day to avoid towing.
- On Saturday, Oct.13, lots 81 and 82 (Wolfe Street parking area) will be used as a gathering place for the Homecoming parade and must be cleared by 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12. Vehicles should refrain from parking within lots 81 and 82 after 7 p.m. Friday evening until late day on Saturday to avoid being towed.
- Note that the following lots will be used for athletic event parking beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, but will not be cleared by Parking Services: 111, 112, 113, 125, 143, 84, 145, 148 and 109.
Parking in the grass or an otherwise non-parking area (not indicated as a parking area) is prohibited at all times and could result in a fine as well as possible towing. Ensure your vehicle is parked within a proper parking area to avoid this.
