One in a series of International Week videos
May 14, 2008
Ohio University is proud to celebrate its global community, comprising students, faculty and staff from more than 100 countries. In keeping with the spirit embodied in the theme of International Week 2008, "Your World, Your Story," Outlook invited members from our community to interview one another about their personal experiences here and abroad and a little bit about what makes Ohio University a place they can call home.
Cultural anthropologist Haley Duschinski is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Ohio University. A native of Aiken, S.C., Duschinski's research focuses on society and politics in South Asia, particularly human rights, peace and justice, and post-conflict reconstruction in Kashmir.
Estienne and Rachelle Coetzee are juniors at Ohio University in the College of Business. The twin sisters grew up in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and came to the United States to play field hockey for the university. The Coetzees have helped the Bobcats win Mid-American Conference Championships in each of the past two seasons, and both have been honored by the conference for their play on the field and their success in the classroom.
