ATHENS, Ohio (Jan. 31, 2007) -- Do you want to get a college education, but are not sure how to get started? Representatives from Ohio University Zanesville, Zane State College, Ohio Learning Network and Lifelong Learning at Ohio University want to help. You can learn how to begin when you attend "I Can Do It," an adult information session about higher education opportunities in our area.
Non-traditional students, those age 24 or older, will learn about programs available at Ohio University Zanesville, as well as opportunities available through Lifelong Learning. In addition, Nancy Ragias from Ohio Learning Network will be on hand to answer questions about taking classes online from colleges and universities across Ohio. Also, someone from Zane State College will share information about the more than 20 associate degree programs offered.
This event is designed to help participants find out about degree programs, application processes, financial aid, and academic support services to be successful in college.
Whether you have some college experience or are interested in learning about how to start your college career, the "I Can Do It" session is for you. Come talk with caring professionals who want you to achieve your educational goals to get started on your way to a college education.
This free event will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, on the Zanesville campus of Ohio University and Zane State College in Elson Hall room 186. Light refreshments will be provided.
