Reality television star to speak

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (Jan. 11, 2007) --  The public is invited to a presentation by former MTV "Real World: San Francisco" cast member, Mohammed Bilal, Feb. 8, at noon in the Health and Physical Education Center at the Ohio University Eastern Campus.

Bilal, now a diversity consultant and lecturer, will present, "12 Steps Towards Appreciating Diversity."  The audience will have a chance to meet Bilal and get autographs immediately after the hour-long presentation. The event is free.

Bilal includes poetic, hip-hop storytelling in his presentation in order to give the audience the tools for learning how to appreciate diversity.  He has over 10 years of diversity experience and says, "I believe diversity is everywhere."  He addresses differences in genders, ethnicities, abilities, sexualities and religions.

This is the second event in a year-long diversity series hosted by the Eastern Campus of Ohio University.  For more information, please contact the Eastern Campus at 1-800-648-3331 or 740-695-1720.
