ATHENS, Ohio (Jan. 3, 2007) -- Anne Lombard has been named assistant vice president for student affairs and director of Baker University Center and campus life, effective Jan. 2. To best serve the campus community, the Division of Student Affairs recently aligned the facilities administration function of Baker University Center with the campus engagement function of Campus Life.
In this role, Lombard will be responsible for the oversight and direction of both the university center and Campus Life.
"I am pleased that Anne has accepted this role and look forward to her leadership in this effort as she utilizes her experience as director of Campus Life," said Vice President for Student Affairs Kent Smith.
"I want to thank Terry Hogan for the leadership he has shown over the last several months in shepherding along the new university center project," Smith said. Hogan will continue is his role as senior associate vice president and dean of students. "I look forward to the many contributions that I know Dean Hogan will continue to make in our division and the daily lives of our students."
"Also, I want to give special thanks to Tim Hogan for his significant service as interim director of the center," Smith said. "Tim's continued leadership as senior associate director of Baker Center will prove invaluable as we open the new center to students, other members of the university community and beyond."
