ATHENS, Ohio (April 4, 2006) -- Registration for summer quarter classes at Ohio University Southern and the Proctorville Center will begin Tuesday, April 4. The full summer session begins June 19 and ends August 26. Summer Session I will last from June 19 through July 22, and Summer Session II will be held from July 24 through August 26. Individuals interested in attending classes during summer quarter are encouraged to apply. Ohio University Southern can assist potential students with admission, financial aid, registration, scheduling and career services.
Students take summer session classes for many reasons--top reasons include being able to graduate earlier or to catch up on degree requirements. Incoming freshmen or new students often take classes in the summer to become familiar with the campus before fall quarter. Area students who are attending other universities can take an Ohio University class conveniently at home during the summer. These students should check with their university to see which Ohio University classes fulfill their degree requirements.
