University Library Friends hold spring book sale

ATHENS, Ohio (May 6, 2005) -- The Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University is holding its Spring Book Sale. The sale began Thursday, May 5, and will continue through Saturday, May 7.

"We have a nice choice of books for summer reading," said Judy Daso, chair of the Book Sale Committee, "so come and shop for some good bargains."

Sale hours on Friday, May 6, will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. Most books will be priced at $1 each on Friday and Saturday. Prices will be reduced to $3 per plastic bag after 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The sale, which is open to the public, will be held on the fourth floor of Alden Library near the circulation desk.

The Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University was established in 1979 to provide additional support for strengthening the University Libraries and its collections and services.
