Hospitality Association

OUHA is open to all majors at Ohio University. It is a great opportunityfor members to build an effective network with other interested studentsand professionals in the hospitality industry.

Ohio University Hospitality Association strives to actively participatein community-oriented events and offers a variety of volunteer opportunities.

Purpose

  • To create awareness of the hospitality industry among O.U. students and community members
  • To advance members' knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry
  • To provide a social setting for those interested in the hospitality industry

Activities

  • Meeting ona regular basis to discuss group and indiviual goals, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, professional tips in a social environment
  • Meetingquarterly for socials at various locations within the community
  • Arranging special events

  • October 30, 2001~ Bake Sale (half of the proceeds donated to American Red Cross)

  • November 8, 2001~ Fall Quarter Social @ the Red Brick Tavern in Athens, Ohio

  • February 7, 2002~ Winter Quarter Social at Skipper's in Athens, Ohio
  • February 17, 2002~ Mid-America Restaurant Show in Columbus Ohio
  • February 24, 2002~ Swim for Diabetes at the O.U. Aquatic Center
