The Ohio River Basin Consortium for Research and Education (ORBCRE) has organized and sponsored the boat-of-knowledge activities for research and education along the Ohio River. Researchers including professors and students form ORBCRE member organizations were on boats traveling from Pittsburgh to Cairo, Illinois taking data, performing research, or conducting lectures along the Ohio River.
