Success Center

The OHIO Online Success Center is available when you need assistance with matters related to your education. The success coach may call or email you to see if you need help. Please note: Contact your academic advisor if you need assistance choosing courses, handling instructor concerns, or managing class content.

Our coach can recommend resources across campus that are available to online and distance students. If you don't know who to contact in another University office, the eCampus success coach can make a recommendation. We are dedicated to seeing you succeed!

Academic Probation

As a part of helping you succeed, the Success Center assists students placed on academic probation.

Probation

At the close of the semester, the academic record of each enrolled undergraduate student (regardless of student enrollment status) will be reviewed to verify the cumulative GPA. At the time of the review, if a student does not have the required 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA, they will be placed on academic probation. To be removed from probation, the student's cumulative GPA must reach at least a 2.0.

Online Probation Workshop

All fully online students placed on probation must complete the online probation workshop prior to registering for their next semester. After completing the workshop, the student must contact the OHIO Online Success Coach (cottrilv@ohio.edu) to schedule a phone call and have the hold removed.

Athens Campus Students

The workshop link above is for fully online students only. If you are an Athens campus student on academic probation, you will need to follow a different process to clear the hold on your account. Please contact your advisor for more information.
