You will be prepared to pursue a rewarding career (or advance in your current role) in social services, job and family services, substance abuse treatment and mental health centers, corrections facilities, and other public health organizations. Classes will enhance your leadership and problem-solving skills for work with people of all ages in these environments.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (2020)* indicates that employment of social and human service assistants is projected to grow 13% from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations. A growing older adult population and rising demand for social services are expected to drive demand for these workers.
