Comments by Peer Mentors and LINKEES
LINKS helped to bring me out of my shell and meet people I normally would not have met. I have made friends that will last a lifetime through the program.

LINKS has been a way to give back to campus for me. I wanted to be able to help more students stay and love Ohio University as much as I do. The best thing about LINKS is knowing that you are really making a difference in someone's life.

I joined LINKS because I wanted to be a part of something that mattered...helping other people.

The best thing about LINKS is the great community of support you have around you. These people genuinely want to see you succeed.
The LINKS program has been one of the most fulfilling opportunities that I have had in my academic career, and life in general. There is no greater feeling than knowing that you have made a positive and lasting impact on the lives of others, and the LINKS program afforded me the opportunity to do so.
The best thing about the LINKS program, without a doubt, is the friends created in the program. As both a LINKEE and LINKS peer advisor, I enjoyed meeting great peer mentors, graduate assistants and professional staff within the program. The friendships I created within the program transcend superficial bonds; I've met lifelong friends in the program and I can truly say that without the program, I would have missed out.
The LINKS staff has been a mentor to both my academic and social life. LINKS has been a shoulder for me to cry on through my personal struggles, and a warm hug in times of celebration. LINKS has become my OU family.
LINKS means many things to me, but above all, it means friendship. Friendship encompasses the goals of the program and its outcomes. Whether it is the staff, other PMs, or of course, our LINKEES; We help our friends to succeed.
