Using PowerPoint Embedded Videos/Animation
Settings for Windows | Settings for Mac
Select the correct settings prior to recording in order to capture your PowerPoint slides, audio, and animation (i.e. embedded video within your slide).
Settings for Windows
Primary Source Settings
- Video - Select a primary video source to record video of a presenter.
- Audio - Select your preferred, connected microphone.
- Quality - Choose from Standard Quality, High Quality, or Ultra Quality. Note: Standard Quality is acceptable for most classroom applications.
- Capture Computer Audio - Use this setting to capture audio from your PC application (ex. audio playing within PowerPoint).
Secondary Source Settings
- Capture PowerPoint - Select this checkbox when recording a PowerPoint presentation. Note: Open your PowerPoint presentation within the recorder and set to full-screen presentation mode.
- Capture Main Screen - Also select this checkbox when recording a PowerPoint presentation with embedded videos/animation. Note: Both checkboxes must be selected for video/animation to play in the Panopto recording.

Slides
- Record PowerPoint - Select this checkbox when recording a PowerPoint presentation. Note: Open your PowerPoint presentation within the recorder and set to full-screen presentation mode.
Secondary Source Settings
- Secondary 1 tab - Select Built-in Display when recording a PowerPoint presentation with embedded videos/animation. Note: Both settings must be selected for video/animation to play in the Panopto recording.
