How to install software on OHIO computers

If you are using a managed Windows computer or a managed Mac computer, you may follow the directions below to install university-approved software.

Installation Instructions


  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the OHIO network (wired or eduroam wi-fi for on-campus, VPN for off-campus).
  2. Open your Start Menu.
  3. Choose All Programs > Microsoft System Center > Software Center
  4. Select the Application you would like to install.


  1. Go to your Mac's Applications folder.
  2. Open the Self Service application.
  3. Select the Application you would like to install.
