Ohio University provides land line telephone service in faculty and staff offices, conference rooms and other public areas on all campuses.

If you will be working from home, you can access your phone and voicemail remotely, including call forwarding.


You must be on-campus or connected to the VPN to use the following links (OHIO ID and password required):

  • https://myphone.ohio.edu - manage your phone, including call forwarding
  • https://vmail.ohio.edu - manage your voicemail. 
    If you receive a "Cisco 403 - Forbidden" error, copy the vmail.ohio.edu link above and paste it directly into the address bar of your browser.

Optional Features

Voicemail Single Inbox

Synchronize your voicemail with your email. New voicemails appear both on your desk phone and in your email inbox. Playing a message in either location will mark it as read on both systems. If you delete a message from either location, it will remove it from both. (Free)

Add up to 2 expansion modules to your desk phone. (fee applies)

Call Center

Formerly known as ACD, Call Center makes it possible to handle large numbers of incoming calls by automatically diverting those calls to pre-defined groups of people and queuing excess calls when all group members are busy. Supervisor agents can view historical and real-time reports of their Call Center groups. (fee applies)
