Forward a Message as an Attachment
If you need to report a phishing scam or other problem message to the IT security office (security@ohio.edu), forwarding that message as an attachment is the best way to do so.

Outlook for Windows
From your main Outlook window:
- Double-click the message to open it in its own window.
- On the Message tab of that window's ribbon, go to Respond and click More.
- Choose Forward as Attachment:
Keyboard shortcut: From your main Outlook window, select the message and press Ctrl - Alt - F.
Outlook for Mac
In your main Outlook window:
- Right click the message in your message list.
- Choose Forward Special.
- Choose As Attachment:
Outlook on the Web
- From your main OWA Outlook window, click New to create a new message:
- At the upper right of the resulting new message pane, click the Open in a Separate Window icon:
- Arrange your browser windows so that you can see both the new message window and the message list portion of your main OWA window. Depending on your screen resolution, you might need to resize one or both of those windows.
- Drag and drop the message you want to forward from your message list into the body of the new message window:
- If the drag and drop worked, you will will see an attachment icon for the message:
Mac Mail
- In your main Mac Mail window, right click (or Control-click) the message you want to forward.
- Choose Forward as Attachment:
