Enroll in Microsoft Azure MFA before July 26, 2022, to continue accessing your University accounts!

Body of Message

Dear Bobcat,
You should have received email notifications on June 28 and July 19 sharing that Microsoft Azure MFA will replace Duo Mobile for all current students at Ohio University on July 26, 2022. You can enroll now to avoid any interruptions to accessing your University accounts.

What is Azure MFA?
Azure MFA is a multi-factor authentication application that protects you from lost or stolen passwords by verifying your identity when you log in, usually with a notification on your mobile device. It is more user-friendly than Duo Mobile and provides a quick enrollment process. As with Duo, you can choose to be remembered for 30 days to reduce verification requests.

OIT hopes you find the transition to Azure MFA easy to use, and the IT Service Desk staff is ready to assist you if you encounter any bumps along the way. If you experience any issues or want to participate and don’t have a mobile device, please contact the IT Service Desk.

For more information, visit Enroll in Azure Multi-Factor Authentication. All students will be prompted to enroll in Azure MFA on July 26, 2022, in order to access their University accounts.

Make sure you download the official Microsoft Authenticator app
When you visit your device's app store ensure you are selecting the official Microsoft Authenticator app by only downloading the app that has Microsoft in the title. You can find links below for downloading the application on the Google Play store or the Apple store.
