Small changes, big effect: Making OHIO's website more convenient & accessible

Screen shot: What the new 'login' menu will look like The Office of Information Technology will roll out two enhancements to the OHIO homepage this week. They may seem like small changes, but they both move us in the direction of improving usability of OHIO’s websites.

New login shortcut

The first change is at the top of the site where you now see "MyOhio Portal" and "Campus Email." Both of those links will be combined under a “Login” menu that displays the most used web-based services for the OHIO community. This short list will include the MyOHIO Portal, Blackboard Learn, Catmail, MyHR and MyOHIO Student Center as well as a link to OIT services.

Tab & keyboard navigation for accessibility

OIT will also add highlighting enhancements to tab and keyboard navigation. This change, along with ARIA landmarks and other features already introduced to the site, will improve accessibility for people who visit ohio.edu using assistive technologies.
