Use of Ohio University's wired and wireless networks is restricted to current students, faculty, staff and sponsored guests.
When connecting a device for the first time to a wired jack on any of our campuses, you will need to register that device with your OHIO ID and password. Students need to register their wired devices once per academic term, while faculty and staff can register annually. If an OHIO ID account (including a guest account) is deactivated, all registrations associated with that OHIO ID will expire.
The wireless network has a built-in login process and does not require a separate registration step.
If a machine is found to be unsafe on the network (virus infection, etc.), it may be placed in quarantine.

No tracking software or agents are installed on your computer, and the university does not access the contents of your hard drive as part of this process. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
