Document management services are available to all departments and business units at Ohio University through Hyland’s electronic document management system, OnBase. The system enables you to capture paper documents through scanning and capture electronic documents through various import processes. Once captured, documents can be easily and securely shared with others users of the system via a basic retrieval and view interface as well as via a workflow interface configurable to the requirements of the business process.
OnBase is highly extensible, capable of serving both the small department as well as the university-wide application. Departments utilizing Imaging see gains in operating-efficiencies, materials reductions, and business continuity, as well as enhanced disaster recovery capabilities.
OnBase is used by numerous departments and colleges across campus and it is the responsibility of Enterprise Document Management Systems to make sure that the system is administered, maintained, and upgraded regularly.
