How to Install

Windows

Centrally managed

If your university computer is centrally managed, you can install NVivo using your Software Center control panel:

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the OHIO network (wired or eduroam wi-fi for on-campus, VPN for off-campus).
  2. Open your Start Menu.
  3. Choose All Programs | Microsoft System Center | Configuration Manager | Software Center.
  4. Under Applications, choose NVivo.

Unmanaged

If your university computer is not centrally managed, download the NVivo Windows Installer

Mac

Centrally managed

If your university Mac is centrally managed, you can install NVivo using Munki:

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the OHIO network (wired or eduroam wi-fi for on-campus, VPN for off-campus).
  2. Under Applications, open Managed Software Center.
  3. Under Software, choose NVivo.
  4. If NVivo is not visible, you may need to contact your departmental IT technician to add the installer.

Unmanaged

If your university Mac is not centrally managed, download the NVivo installer package for Mac.

Computer Labs

Contact the IT Service Desk to request NVivo access in your lab's virtual desktop environment.
