Classroom Technology

The Office of Information Technology installs, maintains and supports classroom technology packages in all centrally scheduled classrooms on the Athens campus. Technicians are available during the summer from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday to assist instructors, repair equipment, and fulfill requests for additional equipment. Specific equipment varies from room to room.

Course Design Studio for Blended and Online Courses

Are you looking for the time and resources you need to design or redesign a blended or online course? Academic Technologies is accepting applications for an intensive Design Studio to be conducted from January 4-8, 2016; 9am-4pm. The studio is a week long opportunity that is intended to provide participants with a tangible and implementable outcome. During the week, participants will be provided hands-on structured workshop sessions, individual assistance, group discussion, and sharing opportunities. Academic Technologies will provide daily consultation and technical assistance to help complete your course (re)design.

All interested faculty are encouraged to apply. Participation is limited to 15 faculty members. To do so, complete and submit the application at

Software Demonstration Events @ Grover E215

Demonstration of Articulate Studio: "Enhancing Power with Articulate Studio", Faculty will be introduced to Articulate to record voice overs, add quizzes and engaging elements into their PowerPoint documents to enhance their student learning with emphasis on teaching ease of use on the following days:

  • October 28th: 3pm-4:30pm
  • November 18th: 3pm-4:30pm
  • December 9th: 3pm-4:30pm

These events are for faculty to interact with other faculty who have been through the course development and share experiences and possibly mentor them.
