University plans roadway improvements for early November

During the week of November 5-9, roadway improvements will be made to South Green Drive between Adams Hall and Smith House. The full depth repairs will alleviate the most serious potholes and other street damage. Additionally, during this week, sections of West Green Drive and Race Street, which were recently repaired, will receive new pavement striping. While single lanes of traffic will remain open on these roadways for the most part during the work, motorists should be observant of flaggers directing traffic and be prepared for short delays. As part of the South Green Drive repairs, commuters should anticipate short-term closures of Lots 56 & 58, in the vicinity of Wray House and Smith House. Contractors from Jackson and Columbus will be performing the repairs and striping at a cost of approximately $56,000. Inclement weather may delay this project.

This will be the last roadway improvement project for 2018. Additional improvements are planned for campus roadways in 2019.

Questions may be directed to the Facilities Management and Safety Work Center at 593-2911.
