Provost Djalali announces Russ College dean finalists

Executive Vice President and Provost Chaden Djalali is pleased to announce that four finalists have been invited to interview on campus as candidates for Ohio University’s next dean of the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, a position that became open after Dean Dennis Irwin announced his retirement effective June 30, 2019. Irwin held the position for 17 years.

The search for the next dean officially began in October, with Dr. Djalali announcing that the University retained an executive search firm to facilitate a national search.

As part of the interview process, the University community will have an opportunity to interact with the candidates during open forums where they will deliver a brief presentation and answer questions from students, faculty and staff. A separate forum will also be provided specifically for faculty.

Open forums for all students, faculty and staff will take place in Stocker 103 on the following dates and times. The public is invited to attend open forum sessions, and OHIO students, faculty and staff with an OHIO ID may access a livestream via links provided below. Please note that ASL interpretation will be provided at each location and presented in a video screen of the online broadcast.
