WellWorks “Diet Drama” brown bag lunch and learn series starts April 5

Do you feel confused by the myriad conflicting nutrition messages in the media and popular literature? You’re not alone! Join WellWorks’ Registered Dietitian Selena Baker for a three-part brown bag lunch and learn series that explores the pros and cons of three trending eating patterns: gluten-free, low- vs. high-fat, and low-carb. We’ll discuss why and for whom these diets may be beneficial, and what to be aware of if you’re thinking of making changes to your own diet. To help you sift through the headlines and “separate the nutrition facts from the nutrition fads,” we’ll discuss smart approaches for interpreting media messages and highlight science-based resources that are available to you.

Sign up for the talk that piques your interest, or for all three. This event is free for all University employees. Please call or email to reserve a spot as space is limited: 740.593.2093 or bakers5@ohio.edu. Note that this series can be attended remotely via Zoom. If you plan to join remotely, please let us know this when you register and we’ll send you the link to join via your computer or mobile device.
