NEARS support can help you succeed in your nursing career.

We are currently accepting applications from current Ohio University RN to BSN students that will be eligible for Fall 2016 graduation. Deadline for all application materials is June 17, 2016 (application, references, proof of employment, proof of FAFSA and veteran status, if applicable).

The NEARS scholarship was created to aid individuals who have been unable to find full time work or who have been unemployed for more than six months.* This includes individuals who have been displaced from a job or individuals who can only find part-time work (see eligibility). NEARS provides recipients with the financial support to pursue a nursing degree through a full instructional tuition scholarship. Additionally, support services funds are available to students for emergency housing, child care, transportation and other special needs.

But money isn't all it takes to succeed! The NEARS project also provides support services aimed at ensuring students continue to work toward, and obtain their degree. Academic and life coaching, peer mentoring, tutoring, and career networking are all aimed at success and employment in the nursing profession.

Awards are available for multiple degree levels, including associate, baccalaureate and master's level degrees. DEGREE PROGRAMS OFFERED
