Heritage College to hold in-person commencement

I am excited to announce that the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine will be celebrating commencement in person on Saturday, May 8, on Ohio University’s Athens campus. In accordance with Ohio University’s revised commencement plans, Heritage College graduates will have the option to attend an in-person event at Peden Stadium or participate virtually via live-stream. I am thrilled to be able to safely deliver on requests for an in-person ceremony while also honoring those graduates who prefer to celebrate from a distance.  

As a medical school, it is imperative that we exceed public health expectations at our in-person commencement ceremony. Rest assured that we will be taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our graduates and guests.  

Note that attendance at this year’s commencement ceremony will be limited. We will keep you posted regarding these guidelines, which are being developed in coordination with public health officials. I am looking forward to a safe and meaningful celebration of our Class of 2021!
