Who We Are

Medical student presenting research

Cutting edge research

Osteopathic medical education must be undergirded by research to keep pace with the changing health care environment and to ensure that osteopathic physicians are at the cutting edge of whatever specialty they choose. As these physicians become an integral part of the research process, they will be able to evaluate current research, make appropriate decisions, mentor others and provide the best patient care. The CORE Research Office is central to integrating research into osteopathic medical education.

Entries came from six states: Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana and West Virginia. The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education and the Ohio Osteopathic Association sponsor the competition, which is held annually during the Ohio Osteopathic Symposium.
