A mentor is someone who has encouraged and fostered your academic accomplishments. He or she should best represent the spirit and the art of your medical education. A mentor must fulfill TWO of the following criteria:
- Be a physician (D.O. or M.D.), OR
- Be a member of our basic science or social medicine faculty, OR
- Be a CORE clinical faculty, OR
- Have an advanced degree (J.D., Ph.D., etc.) AND
- Be an established member in their professional community who has practiced/worked in their field for at least one year. Students within the same class cannot hood each other.
Unfortunately, peers and classmates cannot serve as mentors. Though they can play a significant role in supporting you throughout your studies, in the spirit of true mentorship we ask you to identify an individual who meets the above criteria.
Members of the Heritage College Class of 2017 may submit mentor information using the Mentor Request Form below.
Please review your mentor information at the link below. Questions and corrections can be sent to Kelsey Taylor.
