Who We Are
The Department of Pediatrics at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine consists of five on campus physicians and 22 Centers of Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE) clinical faculty members. Established as a department in 1997, faculty members provide classroom and clinical pediatric education to the Heritage College medical students, interns and residents. As teachers, they are involved in all levels of training for osteopathic medical students. This includes Year I and II classroom teaching in the Clinical Presentation Continuum (CPC) and Patient Centered Continuum (PCC) curricula and providing clinical contact experience for these students, clinical preceptoring for Year III and IV students and rotations with interns and residents. In addition to the educational component of the department, the clinical pediatric faculty provides services to children living in Southeastern Ohio and conducts medical research.
