Business Management Technology Major

Program Overview

Ohio University Chillicothe, Ohio University Lancaster, and Ohio University Southern offer a two-year program of study in business management technology (BMT) leading to the Associate in Applied Business degree. The program offers a balance of theory and practice suitable for students interested in careers in supervision. Courses offered take a management approach to the functional areas of business operations including human resource management, marketing, operations, supervision, planning, and distribution. The principles of continuous quality improvement are used throughout the program. The BMT program includes a concentration requirement that provides students with opportunities for course work that more specifically prepares them for careers in supervision. Concentration areas are determined with a student's advisor and include two 3 credit hour courses in areas such as marketing, quality control, real estate, organizational communication, computer technology, finance, accounting technology, electronic media, among others.
