Apply Now for the Fall 2018 Graduate Research Series

Graduate students at Ohio University conduct new research and develop creative projects each semester as they move toward the completion of their degree. But once the paper is presented or the creative work shared, the journey to project completion is often obscured. At the same time, OHIO students continue to ask new questions and develop new creative works in a wide range of media. In order to better illuminate these processes, the Libraries is once again partnering with the Graduate Student and Faculty Senates on the Graduate Research Series (GRS).

Each semester, the GRS committee selects a student or group of students to discuss their research process in a public presentation at Alden Library. Previous presenters have hailed from a wide-range of disciplines and Ohio University departments.

Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2018 GRS presentation, and must be submitted by Monday, September 24 at 12 p.m. (noon). Proposals will be reviewed by the GRS committee, made up of representatives from the Libraries, the graduate student body and the Faculty Senate. Presenters earn a valuable opportunity to bolster their presentation skills and share their work with the OHIO community, and will be paid $200.

Questions about the GRS application or presentation series can be answered by Hanna Schmillen or Michele Jennings.
