Lancaster – On Friday, May 1, 364 degrees will be recognized at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington.  The Honors Convocation ceremony will be held in the Brasee Hall Gymnasium on the Lancaster Campus at 7:00 p.m.
“Honors Convocation is a celebration of a life-changing accomplishment,” said Lancaster Campus Dean Jim Smith. “It is the culmination of everything students have worked for and the beginning of a new phase of their lives.”
Honors Convocation is held each spring to recognize Ohio University graduates who have attended the Lancaster Campus and/or the Pickerington Center for all or a portion of their degree programs.
Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington will celebrate 108 associate’s degrees, 227 bachelor’s degrees and 29 master’s degrees during the ceremony. The associate’s degree programs with the largest graduating classes are Law Enforcement Technology with 16, Human Services Technology with 13, and Deaf Studies and Interpreting with 10.  The bachelor’s degree programs with the largest graduating classes are Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Management with 43, Bachelor’s of Science in Communication with 39, and Bachelor’s of Science in Education with 37.

Each year, Lancaster students who are members of the national honor society Phi Theta Kappa conduct a rigorous selection process to recognize a faculty member for excellence in teaching and the promotion of learning both inside and outside the classroom.  The student selection committee solicits nominations, gathers supporting materials, and may visit classrooms as they make their choice.
The entire ceremony will be streamed live online. You can watch the ceremony by clicking the following link:
