May 29, 2018 : Dual MVPs Highlight Ohio University Lancaster All-Conference Selections

baseballallThe Ohio Regional Campus Athletic Conference (ORCC) has selected ten area students from Ohio University Lancaster to the All-Conference Team.


First team men honors went to Granville High School graduate Ryan Blessard who was named MVP of the conference. Mack White received a second team selection. Honorable mentions went to Ryan Jurdan, and Isaac Smith.


First team Women’s honors went to Pickerington Central graduate Tawny Souza who was also named MVP of the conference. Mackenzie Smith, Alissa Allman, Olivia Daniels, Kylee Matheney all received second team selections. Honorable mention went to Emily Matheney.


 “To have the MVP for both Baseball and Softball says a lot about our student-athletes,” said Jeff Whitehead, Athletic and Student Activities Director, “these men and women compete at a very high level.”

Ohio University Lancaster Campus supports several athletic teams including men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's baseball, men's and women's tennis, golf, and women's softball. The Ohio Regional Campus Conference was founded in 1973 and is an independent sports organization that serves the State of Ohio's regional campuses. The ORCC has nine members and currently fields eight sports: women's volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball, women's softball, women's tennis, men's baseball, men's tennis, and golf.


The Ohio University Lancaster Campus is located about 25 miles southeast of Columbus and 45 miles north of the main campus in Athens.  Over 2,500 traditional and nontraditional students enroll each semester in associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs at the Lancaster Campus and Pickerington Center.
