October 31, 2018 : Ohio University Lancaster Pickerington Waives Application Fee During Ohio College Application Month

During the month of November, Ohio University Lancaster Pickerington is waiving its application fee in recognition of Ohio College Application Month to allow more students access to an Ohio University education. Applicants may apply online at no cost.

“We believe in access to affordable education for all area students,” said Andy Ellinger, marketing manager and adjunct professor of journalism for Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington. “So waiving the application fee can help eliminate that barrier to entry for some students.”

Ohio University Lancaster Pickerington is already an affordable option for many with tuition for one year at approximately $5,000. With locations in Lancaster and Pickerington and online, classes are available at times and places that are convenient for students.

“Students can earn a great degree here at half the cost of most other schools,” said Ellinger. “And at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington, our credentialed faculty teach smaller classes to help them succeed.”

Students interested in attending Ohio University Lancaster or Pickerington Center may apply for free during the month of November online at www.ohio.edu/lancaster. When filling out the online application, students should use the code 1118 in the Administrative Use Only box on the last page of the application.

Ohio College Application Month was launched by the Ohio Board of Regents in partnership with school leaders across the state. According to a study by The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce, by 2018, 60% of all jobs in Ohio will require postsecondary training beyond high school. Generating an increase in the number of students participating in this initiative would help support Ohio’s workforce needs and demands.

Over 2,500 traditional and nontraditional students enroll each semester in associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs at Ohio University’s Lancaster Campus and Pickerington Center.
