“At Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington, we are working with community leaders to meet the needs of Fairfield County to bring continued economic growth to the region,” said Lancaster Campus Dean Jim Smith. “We feel the addition of these two programs is a win for students and a win for Fairfield County.”
“These degrees will enable a graduate to take advantage of opportunities in industry, government and education,” said Associate Dean Janet Backer. “Opportunities exist in our local community, as well as our state and beyond.”
Both programs have been in demand at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington for several years.
“Social Work is an excellent Bachelor's degree that allows for many career options in human services/social services agencies, health care and educational settings,” said Assistant Professor of Social Work Lisa Skeens. “We have been anticipating the arrival of the program for a while and are thrilled to have the opportunity to have the Social Work program at OUL”
