November 18, 2016 : Ohio University Lancaster Theatre to Perform an Encore Presentation of "A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS" December 1st-4th

Ohio University Lancaster Theatre presents "A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS" December 1 - 4, 2016. The classic animated television special comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation where Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the other Peanuts grapple with the real meaning of Christmas.

The show dates are Thursday, December 1 - 7:30 PM, OPENING NIGHT, Preshow 7:00 PM with the Fairfield Union Assembly Singers; Friday, December 2 - 7:30 PM, Preshow 7:00 PM with the Lancaster Men's Chorus; Saturday, December 3 - 7:30 PM, Preshow 7:00 PM with the Hughes Family Singers, Post show meet Snoopy's friends from the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Sunday, December 4 - 2:00 PM, Preshow 1:30 PM with the Olivedale Kitchen Band.

Freshman theatre major Adam Dominick, who plays the lead role of Charlie Brown, was always a fan of the original animated classic. “It’s such a classic character, I know the previous run of the show was a huge crowd-pleaser for young and old,” he said.

It has been a fun process for him but also challenging because it is literally a word-for-word adaptation of the original material. “I know fans will notice if we make a mistake so it pushes us harder to do our best," he said.

He hopes to continue acting after graduation. “Theatre is my life, I want to make a difference with my performances, not only to entertain but to have a positive impact in people’s lives.“

Dominick encourages attendees to come early for the pre-show entertainment and stay after the show to meet and interact with the cast.

The cast is comprised of Ohio University students: Charlie Brown-Adam Dominick, Snoopy-Keegan Fillinger, Lucy-Brooke Hamlin, Linus-Tommy Robinson and Brenton LeuVoy, Pig Pen-Austin Ream, Frieda-Alexandra Downour, Schroeder-Hunter Allen, Violet-Kellen Lach, Sally-Faith Kaylor, Patty-Mariah Hollett and Shermy-Rashaan Holloway.
