Lancaster – There's still time to enroll and get registered for classes at the Ohio University Lancaster Campus and Pickerington Center for spring semester. The last orientation session is Friday, January 3 at 1 p.m.
"We go over the process for enrolling. Additionally, students may take placement tests, meet with an academic advisor and register for classes," said Enrollment Manager Pat Fox. "We show students how to apply for financial aid. They also learn about opening their e-mail, the student organizations that are available, day care, library services and disability services."
Fox said some may decide to come to orientation to start their new year's resolutions and go back to school.
'The orientation is really important for new students because it helps them learn what they need to do to become a successful student," said Fox. "No matter how old you are, it's important that new students come to an orientation session to learn the ropes at Ohio University Lancaster."
The session will be three hours long. You can register to attend by calling Student Services at 654-6711 ext. 215.
"Orientation is a great place for students to ask questions to make sure they are ready to go the first day of class," said Fox. "We don't want students to stress out about how to open their e-mail. We want them to focus on classes, learning and their future."
If students cannot make it to the orientation, they can still apply online. Spring semester begins January 13.
