Topics will include mind, body, spirit, health and wellness, career changes, women in the workplace, writing for publishing, using technology, women in medicine and more.

“The Celebrate Women conference is a full day of enlightening sessions - about health, business, professional, and social issues for women of all ages,” said Pamela A. Kaylor, Ph.D., Communication Studies/Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies for Ohio University Lancaster. “We have such variety this year. We have one track of sessions for physicians, who can receive 6 CME credits by attending, a track of sessions for business women, a general health and wellness track, and a more general track.  Participants can select what sessions they want to attend.”

Keynote Dr. M. Joycelyn Elders is the 15th U.S. Surgeon General, and the first African American woman to hold that post. She was listed in “100 Outstanding Women in Arkansas,”  “Personalities of the South” and “Distinguished Women in America.”  She has won awards such as the Arkansas Democrats’ Woman of the Year, the National Governors Association Distinguished Service Award, the American Medical Association’s Dr. Nathan Davis Award and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women’s Candace Award for Health Science.
