August 04, 2016 : Still Time to be a Bobcat-Fall Semester Classes Begin August 22nd


Central Ohio residents interested in continuing their education can still apply in person or online to enroll for fall semester at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington. With open enrollment, it’s easier than ever for residents to begin their education or go back to college with fall semester classes starting August 22nd.


“Many people think the application deadline for fall semester freshmen has passed because it has for the Athens campus,” said Enrollment Manager Pat Fox,  “but at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington, residents with a high school diploma or a G.E.D. can still be admitted.”


There are many associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs that can be completed at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington.  In addition, any of Ohio University’s 250 majors can be started at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington and finished at the Athens campus.


“We are all Ohio University, it is really a seamless process to start here and finish in Athens if you still want be a Bobcat,” said Fox. “Relocation from Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington is possible for any semester, though you must have a GPA of 2.0.”


Those who are working full-time, whether freshmen or returning students, are encouraged to enroll part-time. “Another misconception is that students have to be full-time to qualify for federal financial aid,” said Fox. “In fact, the minimum requirement is just 6 credit hours. If you need to work full-time, we suggest you take a class or two as opposed three or four. It’s okay to take a little more time to graduate as long as you graduate.”
