Lancaster – Many students who are getting a degree at Ohio University's Lancaster Campus are juggling school, a job and a family. If finding a way to schedule classes around a full-time job isn't hard enough, finding someone to take care of young children while you take those classes can be even harder.
That is why Ohio University Lancaster has a child care facility located on the bottom floor of Brasee Hall. OUL Kids is a state-licensed facility. It is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"OUL Kids is a place where students know their children will be safe and taken care of while they have their mind on their classes," said Enrollment Manager Pat Fox. "The daycare is not only safe and fun for the children, but affordable."
The cost is $4.00 an hour for the first child in a family and $2.50 an hour for each additional sibling.
"We know good daycare can be hard to find," said Fox."We offer this service to students so they don't have to worry about that anymore."
The children have access to indoor and outdoor play facilities. An outdoor playground is located on the Lancaster Campus.
A child must be at least 18 months old to attend the center. The facility is open to students, faculty, staff and administrators.
