“I am very excited about the opportunity at Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington,“ Lach said. “I look forward to being a part of the campus and Fairfield county communities and meeting all the constituents who have been such an important part of the wonderful giving culture here.”

Lach came from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine where she was the director of alumni affairs. During her tenure there, she engaged alumni and friends, aided in creating a culture of philanthropy and played a significant role in funding the vision for the college.

In addition to her work in alumni affairs, Lach provided leadership for the Heritage College’s 40th anniversary year of celebration by building community awareness and renewing relationships with state lawmakers who were instrumental in the creation of the college. Prior to Ohio University, Lach was the director of client sales for Alliance Data Systems in Columbus, Ohio where she led a team of marketing and sales professionals and directed relationships with major retail clients.

“It is because of Laurie’s relationship management experience and business savvy, along with her expertise in alumni and community engagement, and appreciation for philanthropic work, that I am particularly pleased to have her on my team,” said Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Dean Jim Smith, Ph.D.

Lach was born and raised in Athens, Ohio and is a 1992 graduate of the Ohio University Scripps College of Communication. She and her husband Jack, and their five children, have resided in Carroll, Ohio for many years and are active in the Bloom-Carroll school system and the greater Fairfield County community.
