Help Ohio University Lancaster student organizations fill local food pantries for the holidays

Student organizations at Ohio University Lancaster are teaming up to host a Holiday Food Drive to help support local food pantries. Despite the challenges associated with COVID, students are finding new ways to continue their annual efforts to assist with food insecurity this holiday season.

OUL’s Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity is partnering with the OHIO Future Educators, the Student Social Work Association, LETUsHelp (Law Enforcement Technology majors), and the OUL Drama Club to host a drive-thru event on Thursday, December 3rd.  Rachel Hizey, VP of Service for APO, stated, “We invite everyone in the Lancaster and Fairfield County communities to join us in helping our neighbors.”

Drive-thru donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3rd at the north parking lot of Ohio University Lancaster.  For more information about the food drive, please contact Rachel Hizey (Alpha Phi Omega) at rh102216@ohio.edu.
