Intern partners

Some of the organizations that are interested in internships for spring 2016 include county government agencies, private foundation/art history, public library, marketing companies, not for profit/children’s services, not for profit domestic violence shelter, law firm, and Columbus court/probation department.

 

Types of internship projects

Some of the project areas include social media/marketing, work system improvement, data collection and analysis, training, information gathering and research, education/curriculum development, customer surveys, event planning, archiving and cataloging historical artifacts, design a customer research project, promotional item design, tax preparation services, and others.

Students interning during the spring 2016 semester represent the following majors; History, Applied Management, Education, Criminal Justice, Specialized Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies

 

Pre Internship

  1. Internship Project development
  2. Project approval
  3. Sign off on project and support for Learning Plan

 

During Internship

  1. Sign off on work hour log
  2. Supervise intern project as per project plan
  3. Participate in midterm interview evaluation
  4. Review project status reports/presentationsdogshelter

 

Internship Completion

  1. Complete end of internship skill evaluation of intern
  2. Sign off on total hours worked, weekly hours worked logs, and completed deliverables
  3. Complete Intern Partner satisfaction survey
  4. Schedule next internship project
